In the past, a consumer with an interest in Trex would have to contact a contractor or visit a big box store. In either case, there’s no guarantee of the consumer’s ability to see, touch and test a Trex board in the 18 colors offered. On ShopTrex, the user is able to order a board sample and it’s readily delivered to their door.
When shopping, consumers are often concerned with shopping by color. In order to accommodate the necessity of incorporating sub-brand, it was important to offer the user two ways in: Browse by color or by sub-brand.
